The Yearmix series (also known by its original French title « La Grande Rétrospective Musicale de l’Année ») was started by DJ Bourg in 2008. The goal was to group together the most popular songs in the most common genres (such as Pop music and Electronic music) for any given year. Every mix contains on average 200 songs, mixed in a rapid but harmonious fashion in a mashup style. DJ Bourg creates all the mixes and effects by himself, and never uses special DJ remixes.
